This is as close as I could get to the original; the text on the
left seems to belong to the text on the right.
This entry is not consistent with another entry about
Jacob Kooney.
The
arithmetic in the middle is not money, because that is
done in pounds, shillings and pence (like £ 2.15.2)
It looks like a method we used to teach our children to
check their numbers, first subtract then add up, the
answer should be the same.
Several of these sums can be found on various pages
throughout the book, since I have no clue to their
meaning, this is the only example I will give
