daughter of Andreas Giezendanner {giez1I340} and Ann Mettler

She was married on September 17, 1651 in church to
Johann Rudolf Kunz {Sch177}, born in the year 1629, died on April 27, 1690,
son of Hans Kuntz.

His family moved to Wattwil-Lichtensteig around 1650, around 1670/1680,
he was one of the most dominating personalities among the evangelic Toggenburgers.
He was also the richest Lichtensteiger.

(He was married afterwards on April 30, 1671 in church to Barbel Ambüel,
died on May 14, 1685.

II. Hans Rudolf Kunz is the in 1629 born son of the usher Hans Kuontz of Tegerschen and
brother of Matheus K(uonz) (No. 178/79). Around 1650 the family moved to
Wattwil-Lichtensteig, where sister Elisabeth married M(eister) Hans Gietzendanner,
Hans Rudolf Salome Gietzendanner (who died Oct. 5, 1669) on Sept. 17, 1651.
From this marriage many children were born, which all died at very young age except
3 daughters. Daughter Margreth married in 1679 barber Jacob Steger, Elisabeth in 1680
Hans Melchior Bösch (No. 188), Esther in 1683 the later famous state-usher
Joseph German. The widower Hans Rudolf Kunz married April 30, 1671 Mrs Barbel am Büel,
the widow of Deacon Marx Heidelin in Wattwil, but she died also before him in May 14, 1685.
Hans Rudolf died April 27, 1690.- He was in the seventies and eighties the most dominating
personality among the evangelic Toggenburgers. He appears in the Kriegsratbuch (Sti D 823)
for the first time as caretaker Kuentz, when he accounts for the spendings of the
Wolf-Jageten 1667. He appears in the following years among the state commities;
Juli 15, 1675 for the first time he accounts being town-commissioner. At the occassion of
the Landsgemeinde 1687, he was elected Pannenherrn in stead of Ammann Hans Heinrich
Bösch from Thurtal (No. 190), son of Pannenhernn Hans Heinrich Bösch (No. 146).
He was the richest Lichtensteiger. According to the Lehenbüchern he owned properties in
Wattwil (at Kilchplatz, Rickenau) and Lichtensteig (Sennhaus, farm, next to the Pfrundwiese
